Who runs your school? These 9 Naples schools got new principals
With the new school year approaching, some Collier County schools are facing leadership changes. This year, there will be new principals in charge of eight elementary schools and one middle school, according to a recent article by Ellessandra Taormino of Naples Daily News.
This is who they are:
Big Cypress Elementary
Oliver Phipps is the principal of Big Cypress Elementary.
Dr. Oliver Phipps, the current interim principal of Big Cypress Elementary, will become principal in the fall. Phipps has been with Collier schools for 33 years, seven of them as principal.
Eden Park Elementary
Mary Ann Caseres is the principal of Eden Park Elementary.
Mary Ann Caseres, the former principal of Golden Gate Elementary, will succeed Christina Anderson, who is now the principal of Laurel Oak Elementary. Caseres has been with Collier schools for 29 years, three of them as principal.
Golden Gate Elementary
Dr. Jennifer Scrant is the principal of Golden Gate Elementary.
Dr. Jennifer Scrant, the former temporary principal at Laurel Oak Elementary, will succeed Mary Ann Caseres, who is now the principal of Eden Park Elementary. Scrant has been with the school district for 18 years. This will be her first year as principal.
Laurel Oak Elementary
Christina Anderson is principal at Laurel Oak Elementary.
Christina Anderson, the former principal of Eden Park Elementary, will take over for interim principal Dr. Jennifer Scrant, who is now the principal of Golden Gate Elementary. Anderson has worked with Collier schools for 17 years, the last two and a half of which he served as principal.
Lake Trafford Elementary
Katie Sandlin is the principal at Lake Trafford Elementary.
Katie Sandlin, the previous principal of Palmetto Elementary, will replace Amity Wyss, who has moved out the state. Sandlin has worked in the school district for 17 years, three of those as principal.
Pinecrest Elementary
Matt Dyer is the principal of Pinecrest Elementary.
Matt Dyer, the former principal of Manatee Middle, will succeed Laura Mendicino. Dyer has worked with the school district for four years, two of them as principal.
Palmetto Elementary
Tiffany Wind is the principal of Palmetto Elementary.
Tiffany Wind, a former assistant principle of curriculum and instruction at Palmetto Elementary, will succeed Katie Sandlin, who is now principal of Lake Trafford Elementary. Wind has served with Collier Schools for 11 years. This will be her first year as principal.
Vineyard Elementary
Mitchell Kinstler is the principal at Vineyards Elementary
Mitchell Kinstler, Gulfview Middle’s previous assistant principle of curriculum and teaching, will succeed Edward Laudise. Kinstler has worked with Collier Schools for 26 years. This will be his first year as principal.
Manatee Middle
Jay Fike is the principal of Manatee Middle School.
Jay Fike, the previous assistant principle of curriculum and instruction at eCollier Academy, will succeed Matt Dyer, who is currently the principal of Pinecrest Elementary. Fike has been in the school district for 19 years. This will be his first year as principal.
