It didn’t take long before Chief Timothy Guerrette (Ret.) discovered an opportunity that held the promise of fulfillment in continuing to extend his passion for community engagement, utilizing not only the depth of knowledge gained as a U. S. Air Force Veteran but also through a career of over three decades in law enforcement with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.

building relationships that lead voters to confidence in the electoral process.
In making the decision to seek the Supervisor of Elections position, candidate Tim Guerrette (pronounced Jerr-ette) readily identifies the reason why.
“I tried retirement but it wasn’t challenging enough, I knew I needed new purpose,” he said.
Guerrette speaks with conviction when he emphasizes the privilege of voting.
“The act of voting in America has changed considerably. It’s not your grandfather’s experience. Not by a long shot. It’s become riddled with ongoing challenges that need to be anticipated, addressed and edified,” he explains.
“Voter fraud, external cyber attacks, unethical practices can threaten the confidence of our citizens. We need reminding that our Right to Vote is a Constitutional privilege dearly won, for the people, of the people and by the people.
“And we need to be reassured that the process of voting will be safe, that every eligible vote counts.”
