The sheriff’s office reports the 2nd murder-suicide at a hotel in Collier County in less than two weeks.

Authorities have identified the victim, who committed a murder-suicide at a motel in Collier County, allegedly at the hands of her ex-boyfriend.

A Collier County incident report states that Carlos Perez Perez, 41, of Naples, killed Maria de las Amador Dominguez, 27.

About 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Collier County deputies received a call to the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, 3808 White Lake Blvd. There, they spoke with the hotel manager, Tracy Arman, 54.

Arman informed the authorities that the housekeepers discovered both of them dead while attempting to clean Room 432 in preparation for check-out. She informed investigators that, as she opened the door and saw blood on the floor, a housekeeper called two other housekeepers.

Perez was slumped down in front of the bed, leaning against a desk, while Dominguez lay face down on the floor close to the bed.

In less than two weeks, there has been another murder-suicide at a motel in Collier County.

December 31, 2023, was Zachary Ludwig’s death. Ludwig was working at the front desk when James Gamble, 64, a former employee of the Port of the Islands resort in Naples, fatally shot him, according to a report from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office. Gamble then took his own life.
