Seventh South Waterfront replacing 360 Market

In a few months, a well-liked eatery in East Naples will change.

Beginning on May 1st, Barry and Carolyn Larkin will be leasing Rebecca Maddox’s 360 Market restaurant. It will become Seventh South Waterfront, the second eatery owned by the Larkins, who also own Seventh South Craft Food + Drink.

The Larkins intend to maintain the operation of their Old Naples restaurant while opening in late summer, according to a recent article by Diana Biederman of Naples Daily News.

Maddox still owns the land and manages Celebration Park, which is next door. She relocated the market’s well-known wine shop to Bayshore and built Rebecca’s Wine Bar there in 2023. In addition, she is the manager of The Maddox, a gorgeous new members-only club located in Rebecca’s building.

Why was it changed?
As for 360 Market, “It’s just time. I didn’t realize that for 13 seasons, six days a week, every day from 8 a.m. to whenever we close, I’ve been here. The time went by quickly. I really love it, but I realized I started it in my late 50s, and now I’m 70,” said Maddox.

Maddox had been discussing taking over 360’s location with other restaurateurs for the previous six months. Among the factors that led her to choose the Larkins? They have a similar hands-on work ethic to hers.

The Larkins, whose lease on the Seventh Avenue restaurant expires in 2025, may have to be renewed entirely, among other unknown factors that have arisen since Hurricane Ian.

The couple loves 360 Market and goes there often for lunch.

“We talked to Rebecca about our situation. She opened her arms and opened the door to this opportunity. We’ve always had a great relationship. We felt blessed to be in the conversation with other restaurateurs. For her to choose us and being on Bayshore, it means a lot,” said Barry Larkin.

Carolyn was thrilled to hear the news and called it a “pinch-me” moment.

What to anticipate
The pair intends to carry on running Seventh South.

In order to blend Seventh South’s aesthetic with their new waterfront site, Carolyn Larkin is in charge of the décor modifications. This contains a gorgeous new huge bar, locally created artwork, and other stylish details that characterize their downtown area…

The couple plans to continue its renowned late-night menu and open for lunch and supper at the new location.

Not the end of an era
The Larkins and Maddox praised the neighborhood’s fellowship, where a range of offerings give visitors a variety of options.

According to Maddox, who is arguably the most well-known cheerleader in the neighborhood, “Bayshore is a truly special place. Folks might come here for breakfast, then I’ll see them on a boat at Celebration Park, then I see them at Rebecca’s at night. It’s like they go out for every meal, but once they find us here, there’s just a client-customer rotation and loyalty that I’ve never seen in my life. They might go to The Med or Ankrolab, but once they come to Bayshore and experience it, they’re very comfortable with that.”

Maddox leaves 360 with a sad heart, calling her time there “a phenomenal ride.” In an effort to show her appreciation to her devoted, long-time customers, Maddox is bringing back a promotion that debuted on the day of the establishment in 2012: from May 1 to May 1, 360 Market will be selling $3 glasses of wine.

“I will miss this terribly, but I’m also happy that I can play a small part in helping Carolyn and Barry. I think they will contribute as much to Bayshore as I have.”
