Naples warns of bogus police officer phone scam.

Residents of Naples are being alerted to a phone scam where someone is posing as a police officer and asking for money.

The city would like to remind residents that employees of the Naples Police Department will never request money, gift cards, or payment over the phone for any reason.

If you receive a call from someone claiming to be a Naples Police Officer or Investigator asking for payment, please hang up and reach out to the Naples Police Department at 239-213-3000.
