Naples Chamber names a new CEO

The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce has identified and appointed a new chief executive officer following a months-long search.

Kristina Park has been named the chamber’s new CEO and president, according to a recent article by Laura Layden of Naples Daily News.

Who is Kristina Park?

Despite not being a native of Florida, she has over ten years of experience holding executive positions in the state’s chambers of commerce. She is presently the chief operations officer of the Pinellas County chamber, Amplify Clearwater.

2019 saw the merger of the Clearwater Regional Chamber and the Clearwater Beach Chamber, resulting in Amplify Clearwater. It’s one of the biggest chambers in the Tampa Bay area, with over 800 members.

With almost 1,100 active members, the Naples chamber is even larger.

Park is anticipated to provide the local chamber with a “new era of growth and expansion” with renewed vigor. In January, she will start her new position.

Views on the new CEO?

According to a statement from Julie Schmelzle, the Naples chamber board chairwoman, Park’s appointment “represents a significant milestone in our organization’s history.”

“Her expertise and leadership will help drive our chamber to new heights, benefiting both our members and the entire community,” she stated.

The search committee for the board worked “diligently and thoroughly to find the right candidate to take the chamber to its next stage of growth, and we are confident Kristina is that person,” Schmelzle noted.
