Naples Airport plane makes emergency landing due to engine troubles

On Monday morning, a plane with engine issues had to make an emergency landing at Naples Airport.

The Naples Airport Authority said it was a tiny Bonanza piston-type plane. The pilot apparently encountered engine problems on takeoff and had to make an emergency landing before reaching the end of the runway.

Joe Espy of NBC2 reported that no one else was aboard the aircraft, and the pilot was unharmed, according to the NAA.

The runway will stay closed until the plane is safely removed.
