Local chef Brian Roland settles with Ferrari of Naples following dealership tragedy.

Three years following a near-fatal car elevator accident at the Ferrari of Naples dealership, local chef Brian Roland has reached a settlement with the company.

Court documents indicate that a confidential settlement was achieved on November 19, according to a recent article by Tyler Watkins of NBC2.

In December 2021, Roland was employed as a chef at a dealership party when he became trapped under a vehicle elevator.

Roland is a renowned chef in the area and the founder of Crave Culinaire, a catering business based in Southwest Florida.

Roland utilized the elevator to transport supplies and equipment for the event.

In 2023, Roland and his wife initiated legal action against Ferrari, Interluxe Group, Envirostruct, Elite Consulting, Elite Permits of Naples, the Collier County Board of Commissioners, Miner Enterprises, Autoquip, and Snap-On, seeking a minimum of $100,000 in damages.

NBC2 contacted Roland’s legal team, and they provided the following response:

“A confidential resolution has been reached between the Rolands and Ferrari of Naples.” Nonetheless, the lawsuit continues as Ferrari of Naples has filed a crossclaim against the general contractor, EnviroStruct, alleging that their negligence contributed to Mr. Roland’s unfortunate incident. The trial for that matter is scheduled for August 2025.
