July 4th Drone show at Paradise Coast Sports Complex on July 6th

The Fourth of July celebrations in Collier County will be a little different this year.

On July 6, at the Paradise Coast Sports Complex, one of the county’s first large-scale drone shows will be held to commemorate the country’s independence. The family-friendly event will feature bounce houses, remote control cars, laser tag, face painting, and live music, according to a recent article by Ellessandra Taormino

What we know about the show

Sky Elements, a company that specializes in drone content creation and advertising, was responsible for building the drones. Their performances have been featured on the NBC show “America’s Got Talent,” at various Major League Baseball stadiums, and broken two Guinness World Records.

The display will feature 300 drones, according to Paradise Coast organizers. The images will feature Independence Day themes, including animations of the American flag, fireworks, and eagles. There will also be several additional images relating to paradise and sports.

Why drones rather than fireworks?

According to Marissa Baker, Paradise Coast regional manager, drone displays increase creative options and flexibility by allowing for the creation of complicated patterns, animations, and words in the sky. Baker stated that drone performances are a more environmentally responsible alternative to explosions.
