Fort Myers airport traffic rises 17% in 2024.

More over 675,000 people passed through Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers, up 1% from July 2023.

According to the statement, the month had 677,137 passengers, making it the second-best July in the airport’s 42-year history. Additionally, the announcement stated that year-to-date passenger traffic has increased by 17%.

Delta was the traffic leader in July, with 161,168 passengers. The top five airlines were Southwest (136,984), American (114,344), United (94,212), and JetBlue (54,330), according to a recent article by Mark Gordon of Business Observer.

Southwest Florida International Airport had 5,688 aircraft operations in July, a 3% increase from July 2023. Page Field witnessed 12,764 operations, a 20% drop from July 2023.

Furthermore, Southwest Florida International Airport served over 10 million passengers in 2023, placing it among the top 50 airports in the United States. There are no ad valorem (property) taxes levied for airport operations or construction.
