Fort Myers Airport gets 4 new nonstop routes.

Breeze Airways continues to expand its Florida route network.

The Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers has made the most recent news, according to a recent article by Mark Gordon of Business Observer. A statement from the airline stated that its new routes will operate twice a week and include:

Stewart/Newburgh, New York, in the Hudson Valley north of New York City, Wednesdays and Saturdays starting Oct. 2.
Lansing, Michigan, Thursdays and Sundays starting Oct. 3.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Pennsylvania, Thursdays and Sundays starting Oct. 3.
Bangor, Maine, seasonal, on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting Oct. 5

As a result, there are now 19 nonstop destinations to and from Fort Myers. “We are delighted to learn that Breeze Airways will begin operating in October to four markets that Southwest Florida International Airport does not currently serve,” said Ben Siegel, executive director of the Lee County Port Authority, in a statement.

Breeze also revealed that it will be launching new nonstop routes to Pensacola and Bangor from Tampa International Airport.
