Fort Myers airport adds 8 flights

Breeze Airways is launching additional flights between Fort Myers and eight cities over the first two weeks of October, according to a recent article by Elizabeth King of Business Observer. Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) has lit up its air traffic control tower in blue to commemorate “Breeze Week.”

Here are the new markets and dates Breeze Airways’ service begins out of RSW:

  • Portsmouth, New Hampshire (PSM), Oct. 10
  • Bangor, Maine (BGR), Oct. 5
  • Burlington, Vermont (BTV), Oct. 4
  • Lansing, Michigan (LAN), Oct. 3
  • Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Pennsylvania (AVP),Oct. 3
  • Islip-Long Island, New York (ISP), Oct. 2
  • Manchester, New Hampshire (MHT), Oct. 2
  • Stewart/Newburgh, New York (SWF), Oct. 2

The airline will provide weekly service between the aforementioned destinations and Fort Myers, according to officials.

Breeze Airways, founded in 2021, aims to provide flights between underdeveloped cities, avoiding hubs to allow for faster journey times, according to the airline. It serves more than 60 cities across 30 states.

Breeze Airways now provides nonstop flights to more than two dozen destinations from the Fort Myers airport.
