Collier County man arrested for CIA impersonation with false badges, firearms, and drugs.
On New Year’s Day, Florida Highway Patrol troopers apprehended a man for impersonating a federal officer on Interstate 75.
The individual in question has been identified as 63-year-old Jorge Alberto Alfonso, according to a recent article by Emily Young of FOX4.
Troopers reported encountering a white Ford F-150 traveling northbound on Interstate 75, displaying blue and red lights, which raised suspicions.
As the car came to a stop, Alfonso, seated in the front passenger seat, declared himself to be a CIA agent.
The vehicle search uncovered a multitude of illegal items, such as firearms, counterfeit federal badges, various passports—some of which were blank—bulletproof vests, jewelry, and prescription medications.
Alfonso faced arrest and was charged with impersonating a law enforcement officer as well as drug possession.
The truck was seized and transported to the Florida Highway Patrol evidence lot for additional investigation.
The identity of the vehicle’s driver is currently unknown.
The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the case.
