CCPS begins construction on a new primary school

Collier County Public Schools (CCPS) has broken ground on its newest elementary school, Bear Creek Elementary. Superintendent Leslie C. Ricciardelli, Ed.D., also revealed the identity of the school’s mascot following community feedback. In August 2025, the school will welcome the “Cubs” to campus.

Bear Creek Elementary, located at the southeast corner of Immokalee Road and Moulder Drive, will serve about 1,000 children. The two-story structure with a single point of entrance will include an outdoor covered playground and a PE pavilion.

CCPS purchased the 22-acre land in 2006. When the school opens in 2025, it will be 17 years since CCPS last opened a new primary school. A traffic signal will be erected at Immokalee Road and Moulder Drive. Visit www.collierschools.com/bearcreek to learn more about Bear Creek Elementary School.
