Bonita Springs $67 million project signs shops, restaurants
Midtown at Bonita, a 68-acre mixed-use development near Bonita Springs, has signed many additional restaurants and retailers for the project’s commercial space.
The developer, The Zuckerman Group, presented a lineup on Monday that includes a mix of big chains and local businesses, and says it is actively negotiating contracts with many other tenants. Those are likely to be announced shortly.
The $67 million development is a pedestrian-friendly hub now under construction on Bonita Beach Road, roughly a quarter mile east of Interstate 75. It will have 315,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, lakes, and a projected office area.
It’s slated to open in 2026.
Along with the other uses, a 400-unit luxury apartment complex is being built on the property. A spokeswoman stated that it should be completed within the next 24 to 30 months.
According to the project’s website, a 165-room hotel is on its way.
Additionally, the vision for Midtown at Bonita is to create a “community-centered destination where residents and visitors can indulge in top-tier dining, shopping, lifestyle, entertainment, services, and wellness experiences.”
Chipotle Mexican Grill and Panera Bread were revealed as national tenants on Monday. Other renters include:
- Club Pilates: A boutique fitness studio.
- Good Vets: A full-service veterinary clinic.
- Jeff’s Bagel Run: A Florida bagel bakery chain with several locations in the Orlando area and in the South.
- Noire the Nail Bar:
- Bonita Beach Wine & Spirits:
- The Hangry Bison: An Orlando area restaurant that serves Bison burgers, craft cocktails, craft beer and has an extensive whiskey and bourbon selection. This will be its third location.
