A murder suspect was discovered walking along Alligator Alley.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers arrested Angel Kelly Alejandro on Thursday while he was walking along Alligator Alley. Authorities discovered that Alejandro had felony warrants from Texas for murder, child sexual contact, and possession with intent to distribute child pornography.

Troopers encountered him on the side of Interstate 75 in Collier County. Initially, he provided a false name, “Recardo,” but quickly admitted his real identity. After running a background check, officers confirmed he was a fugitive from Texas.

Alejandro is now being held at the Collier County Jail as he awaits extradition back to Texas.
