A man was discovered in Naples with drugs and more than $60,000.

A man was detained in Naples after being found in possession of marijuana and $60,687 in cash and silver.

Naples police discovered a Ford work van parked on 2nd Ave.

The police said that Michael Ross, the owner of the van, was sleeping.

After allegedly smelling marijuana in the car, the officer started a search, according to a recent article by Bridgette Seale of NBC2.

Inside the van, officers discovered the following:

  • 1.5 pounds of Marijuana
  • Two containers of marijuana oil
  • One container of marijuana wax
  • Two water bongs
  • One scale
  • Three boxes with 25 sleeves containing 20 US Mint $1.00 silver coins
  • One box with 24 sleeves (1,980 total silver coins) with a face value of $1,980
  • The total weight of silver is 150 pounds, valued at approximately $50,000
  • $8,707.20 of assorted US bills and coins
  • Airsoft rifle
  • 98 9mm rounds of ammunition.

Michael Ross, 40, was charged with possessing 20 grams or more of cannabis, possessing it with the intent to sell it, possessing THC oil and wax, possessing ammunition by a convicted felon, and possessing paraphernalia related to narcotics.
